Awesome Skincare Treatments Found in Your Kitchen

Hi Beautiful!

I’m sure most of you have been through what happened to me the other night. SO… the other night, I’m going through my regular routine, getting ready for bedtime, washing my face, when I realized my toner was finished *CRYING*. It’s 11 PM, Everywhere is closed around me, and plus there was no way I was going to start driving around at that time looking for a CVS or Duane Reade. SO I did what most women would do and walked right into my kitchen, opened up the cabinets and started looking for the best alternative. I then realized how many things I have in my kitchen that are awesome for skincare and then this post dawned on me!
Below are 7 skincare problems and the alternative ‘skincare products’ you can find in your kitchen cabinets that work really well.

1
Toner

Cabinet: Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar

Even though the smell of apple cider vinegar scares people away. This product really is a must-have with great benefits. It has ACV that really helps to get rid of acne. It is best used as a face toner. It can be really strong and can dry up your face, so I recommend you dilute it with water before applying directly to your face.

To use: Dilute the cider with water, Soak up a cotton pad and apply directly to your face and problem areas. You do not need to rinse it off let it sit and do its work.

Lightening Lips

Cabinet: Lemon and honey

This might be a combo to get rid of a cold or for adding to hot tea, but even better this can lighten up your lips and make it very nice, juicy, pink and soft!

To use: Squeeze the juice out of the lemon, add a tea spoon of honey. Apply to your lips and let it sit for about 20 min. Rinse of with warm water and apply a lip Sunscreen and Balm.

3
Teeth Whitener

Cabinet: Baking Soda

We all know Baking Soda is great for getting pearly white teeth. It is a mild abrasive used to remove the yellow stains we get on our teeth. It also removes plague by neutralizing the acids produced by bacteria. Be careful though, not to use it excessively.  Overuse of baking soda can strip your teeth of the protective enamel and we do not want that!

To use: Add baking soda to your tooth paste on your toothbrush and brush ur teeth or after brushing with toothpaste, on your hand, wet some baking soda and let it turn to a paste. Rub it on your teeth and let it sit for about 15 min and then rinse off. In a few weeks you will see results.

4
Brightening Face Mask

Cabinet: Turmeric

This has to be the no1 face brightening home remedies there is out there. I have done this a shit load of times myself and totally love the results. It reduces pigmentation, helps with acne, dry skin, improves skin texture while giving you a nice and natural Glow! *You know I love to glow!

To use: Mix turmeric with honey and yogurt. Once its in a paste, apply a thin layer to your face and let it dry for 20 minutes. Make sure to rinse off in the shower so it doesn’t stain everywhere.  Apply your favorite moisturizer afterwards.

5
Acne Treatment

Cabinet: Aspirin

Wearing an aspirin mask is an overnight pimple treatment. It calms down sensitivity, reduces redness and eliminates pimples. It’s a really great DIY mask to try.

To use: Before bed, crush some aspirins and add water to make it a paste. Apply all over your face  and let it dry up for about 15 min. Once dry get a steamed cloth and wipe it off.

6
Make Up Remover

Cabinet: Olive Oil

Olive il can be used as an alternative for baby wipes or oil- cleanser. I use this as the first step to remove my foundation, lipstick, mascara, eye shadow and liner. it works great while softening, and moisturizing your skin.

To use: Put some olive oil on a cotton wool and wipe off all your make up. For your eyes, Soak a Q-Tip and gently wipe off mascara and eye liner.

Cooling Off!

Cabinet: A glass of Wine

Yes! A glass of white wine does it for me! Treat yourself and cool off from the days hard work.

To use: Pour a glass of your favorite wine, sit back, relax and enjoy your night!
